Welcome to the Homestead Seattle showroom.
You guys know the drill. Let us know if you see anything you like and enjoy the tour!
Last weekend Michele and I delivered a sofa to a customer of ours just outside Portland.
We took the opportunity to drive around the city, enjoy the sunshine, eat our favorite burgers and buy some great stuff for the shop.
First stop post delivery: duck bahn mi sandwiches and miso poutine at Double Dragon.
We shook off our food comas and did a little shopping.
I really wish we would've picked up that dresser and rug. Next time.
Our favorite activity when traveling is driving around exploring neighborhoods. Portland has the best houses and tree-lined streets. What a town.
My favorite shot from the night.
The next day we squeezed in brunch at Tasty n Sons before getting to work.
Burgers and sweet biscuits.
Then it was furniture time.
Our inspiration for the day, these gentlemen:
There's so much great stuff in Portland. Next time we're getting a bigger trailer.
We really regret not getting these chairs.
Another regret. This dining set was unfortunately already sold.
Some of our finds.
After we filled up the trailer we stopped by Tin Shed for dinner and then hit the road.
See ya later Portland. Thanks for the sunshine and the cool stuff.
It's already been a busy 2014 for us at Homestead.
We filled up the shop with new product, upgraded our website, repainted our front door and did a minor kitchen remodel.
Living the American Dream.
And now to end the month on a high note, we present to you... a pretty legit showroom tour. We need to have an open house here very soon. We've gotta show this place off more.
Here's to a great year! Enjoy the tour.
Thanks for stopping by! Let us know what you think.
There's a new feature on the website and we're pretty sure you're going to like it.
We received feedback that you guys wanted to know what's new in the shop. Of course you do! We update our Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest with new items individually, but now you can see them all in one place, the Homestead Seattle homepage.
We try to update the shop weekly, if you don't see what you're looking for please let us know. We want to carry the pieces that you guys need and we're always open to suggestions.
That's the long and short of it. Thanks again for being great customers and for the advice!
We can already tell it's going to be a great year! Even the more mundane days are going to be worth remembering.
Today, a not too special day, is photography day at Homestead. Our two main challenges are light and space. Because we're working with natural light and live in Seattle we don't have many usable hours in the winter. And because our showroom is our photography studio, let's just say it's not a day that we would usually schedule a showroom visit.
Fortunately, getting to show off new product makes up for how crazy it is in here. Better yet, this means a new showroom tour. First one of the year! We're pumped.
2014: Even the mundane is wonderful.
We're wrapping up 2013 with a shop-wide sale and our favorite showroom tour yet. If you live in Seattle and haven't made it over here now is the time.
No lines, no Christmas music, no insane parking. It's a wonderful life.
If you don't live in Seattle and want to give an HS gift for the holidays we just might be able to make it happen. Our shipping team is the best. Let us know what you have your eye on, we'll see what we can do.
Not exactly sure what to buy but love the shop? We have Homestead gift cards available! Finally, we know. We're feeling pretty great about it.
We're also feeling pretty great about our new HS Collection pieces. That pair of barrel backs and the black and white floral chair. SWOON. Why can't we just keep everything?
Take a look around. If you see something you like that isn't up in the shop it's probably new. Contact us, we can get you a price and shipping quote.
We hope everyone has a lovely holiday season. See you in January and enjoy the tour!
Thanks for stopping by! Let us know what you think.
Happy fall ya'll!
In Seattle we're seriously feeling the effects of daylight savings time. Fortunately it has inspired us to do a lot of nesting, both in our home and the shop.
If you're going to be hibernating all winter you might as well make your house its best. Then, share the love. Host dinners and brunches with friends and family. Take advantage of everyone's jovial holiday spirit and fight the SADs.
It's going to be a great season.
Our shop is looking top notch and ready for fall this week. We 're thrilled with how the addition of rugs transformed the place. We try to keep it fresh and minimal in the summer but in the fall we love love love rugs.
Rugs and lighting and indoor plants. Do this.
The second largest transformation this week were the walls. We hung some really large pieces of art, signs and flags that make it feel so much more grand in here. We're certainly thankful that we have such high ceilings to work with.
We love this house.
On with the show. As always, make an appointment to stop by if you want to see the goods in person. For everyone else out there, enjoy the tour!
Thanks for stopping by. See you next week!
