How is it September already!?
And how did we completely miss our August showroom tour? Summer has just been that good in Seattle. We're not ready for it to be over yet (dear lord please don't let summer be over yet).
At least we're starting this month off right with a shop full of new pieces and a damn fine looking showroom. We decided to get a little weird with our art and keep the furniture heavy on the Mid Century Modern side of things. It's pretty fly stuff, you guys.
Not shown: a back room full of MCM dressers and shelving. All currently being photographed and it's all getting added to the shop tonight. No waiting. Well ok, a brief amount of waiting. Come on, a little waiting never hurt anyone.
Seattle customers, we'll be around all weekend by appointment. Stop by and say hello!
Everyone else, enjoy the tour!
How's everyone's summer going!?
I don't want to brag, buuut ours has been pretty perfect in the PNW. Although, today Seattle decided to take a break from the exceptional weather we've been having for A LOT of rain and a reason to hunker down and get some work done. (July's showroom tour will be posted!)
Ryan snapped these shots on Saturday morning and the shop has already changed so much. The drafting table and Umanoff style stools were shipped to Minnesota and California respectively. The dark Stanley dresser and woven trunk both relocated to new Seattle homes. And we've been buying and selling art like crazy, you guys! No complaints over here.
You may be thinking to yourself, what's left for my house? Luckily we'll be spending the next couple of days photographing new product and stocking up the website. The physical shop will be back up and running this weekend. You should definitely schedule and appointment to stop by and see our new goods if you're in the area.
For all of our non-Seattle friends, we can ship anything. Anywhere. So, if you see something you like, let us know and we'll get you a quote.
Thanks again for being you and enjoy the tour!
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
How is it June already? This year seems to be flying by.
Things are coming up Chesterfield in the shop right now. We're stoked to have a pair of green leather camelbacks and that cordovan beauty is an original from England. Bad. Ass.
We're also heavy on Mid Century dining sets and side tables (because they're awesome, that's why). But the real star of the show is the set of four chrome and navy naugahyde dining chairs that we just got back from the upholsterer. They need to go live in a very cool home. They're incredible.
We're closing up shop this weekend for a much needed camping trip but we'll be back in business Monday morning, and you should stop by and say hello. If you're not in Seattle, here's your chance to check out the shop. Let us know if you have any questions or see anything you like.
On that note, have a great weekend and enjoy the tour!
Seattle summer is finally upon us and the shop is filled with great new product. We could not be happier.
Everything from the tour will be available online this week. If you're in Seattle you should definitely swing by and take a look at the showroom in person, we're available by appointment every day.
Enjoy the tour and as always, let us know if you have any questions or see anything you like.
Thanks again for being such great customers and fans!
It's a new month and time for a new showroom tour. Our sofa game is strong right now and the rugs, oh the rugs. It's all so good.
As always, let us know if you see anything you like and enjoy the tour!
Welcome to the Homestead Seattle showroom.
You guys know the drill. Let us know if you see anything you like and enjoy the tour!
Last weekend Michele and I delivered a sofa to a customer of ours just outside Portland.
We took the opportunity to drive around the city, enjoy the sunshine, eat our favorite burgers and buy some great stuff for the shop.
First stop post delivery: duck bahn mi sandwiches and miso poutine at Double Dragon.
We shook off our food comas and did a little shopping.
I really wish we would've picked up that dresser and rug. Next time.
Our favorite activity when traveling is driving around exploring neighborhoods. Portland has the best houses and tree-lined streets. What a town.
My favorite shot from the night.
The next day we squeezed in brunch at Tasty n Sons before getting to work.
Burgers and sweet biscuits.
Then it was furniture time.
Our inspiration for the day, these gentlemen:
There's so much great stuff in Portland. Next time we're getting a bigger trailer.
We really regret not getting these chairs.
Another regret. This dining set was unfortunately already sold.
Some of our finds.
After we filled up the trailer we stopped by Tin Shed for dinner and then hit the road.
See ya later Portland. Thanks for the sunshine and the cool stuff.
